The role of the Hospitality Coordinator is to coordinate and oversee one-time lunches/refreshments at the church. The Hospitality Coordinator acts as a key-point person for these types of activities. A key aspect of this role is to build teams and foster team effort in the success of the events.
General Requirements
- Member of Crossroads Christian Church and agrees with church Tenets of faith
- Has completed all the Journey classes or is in the process of completing the classes
- Must be able to commit to required work hours and be available for requested meetings
- Evident relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Demonstrated leadership skills as outlined in the Bible.
- Spiritual maturity
- Gifted in the area of Hospitality and serving
Role Specific Requirements
- Excellent time management skills
- Must have strong administrative skills
- Ability to clearly communicate and share information
- Must be able to work closely with peers and Leaders (people skills)
- Demonstrate ability of organizational skills
- Demonstrated team building skills and solid discernment of people
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Kitchen & Café Supplies Inventory (weekly) gives order to Financial Administrator / Purchasing by Monday
- Sunday Hospitality (weekly) coordinates Hope Café coffee and snack services, schedules staffing of volunteers in this area, arranges food for monthly and special celebrations
- Staff Luncheons (as needed) coordinates food & refreshments
- Leadership Dinners (2x/year, May & Nov) coordinates, decor, food & refreshments
- Security Team Lunches – (weekly) Sept-May, purchase/provide weekly lunches during the school year.
- VBS Pizza Luncheon (Aug)
- coordinates hospitality for the VBS volunteers for the entire week
- coordinates food and refreshments for closing day for the children
- Iroquois Football team dinners (Fall) coordinates with parents of football team with making space available for team dinners.
- Christmas Pageant refreshments (Dec) coordinates cocoa & cookies in the foyer after service.
- Christmas Eve Service refreshments (Dec) coordinates, cocoa, coffee & cookies in the foyer after first service.
- Funeral/Memorial – Refreshments/Luncheons – provides bottled water and mints in foyer and works with families related to flower delivery, registry book, picture boards and coordination with their caterer as needed.
- Good Friday Service – provide refreshments after service
Anticipated Time Commitments
- 10 hrs. per week
- Sundays required
