Step 2 of the Journey: The world is filled with information and competing ideas. Many voices, web pages and books claim to have the truth that people should follow, but they cannot all be true. The Bible claims to be true and says that only God’s words will last forever. This 9-week course presents evidence that the Bible is true and is the only book fully worthy of our trust. The teaching style is interactive so participants can ask questions each week. Bill Marshall and Shawn Claybolt co-lead this study, beginning Friday, September 22nd at 6:30pm in the Crossroads Youth Sanctuary. Childcare provided on request. Sign up below.
Jesus spoke deep spiritual truths through vivid engaging stories: parables. Blended from the things of everyday life, Jesus made the Kingdom of God understandable to “those who have ears to hear,” a phrase He used quite often. While parables can clarify truth for “those who have ears,” they have the opposite affect on those who reject Christ. In Matthew, Jesus was asked why he spoke to the people in parables. His reply was, “because the knowledge of the secrets of the Kingdom has been given to you but not to them.” Bring your Bible and join us on Fridays as we study and gain insight into the parables and their meanings that will help us appreciate their relevance in our lives. This 5-week study begins Friday, October 6th at 6:30pm in the Crossroads Hope Café.

It’s what you can’t see that can hurt you … the temptation that regularly assaults you, the depression or illness that pulls you down, the discord in your relationships, the private doubts you harbor about God. These are not just a natural part of life–they’re battles in a behind-the-scenes war against your faith, family, and future. From a balanced perspective, Robert Jeffress lifts the curtain of everyday existence to reveal these invisible but very real battles in the war Satan wages against followers of Christ like you. Because you don’t have to be spiritual roadkill, using the spiritual armor of Ephesians 6, The Divine Defense outlines six practical strategies you can use through every day to defeat Satan’s vicious and destructive plan. Together, these strategies form The Divine Defense that will help you live victoriously in the unshakable power of God. This 7-week study begins Saturday, October 14th at 7:30am at the Iron Kettle Restaurant (1009 Olean Road, E. Aurora).
