Small Group Studies at Crossroads provide a community-like atmosphere where you can learn about God while getting to know others. We grow in the knowledge of Jesus and encourage each other to live it out. Small groups are offered for the Fall and Spring semesters with a church-wide small group at the beginning of the year. Our offerings include such topics as worldview, marriage, family, parenting, finances, prayer, leadership, etc. Life is better in groups!

What if the thing our churches are missing isn’t a something, but a Someone? Francis Chan’s, “Forgotten God” seeks to reverse our neglect of the Holy Spirit by exposing the enormous gap between what Scripture says about the Spirit and how most believers and churches operate today. Through solid scriptural support and compelling narrative, Chan reveals the Holy Spirit as the Bible describes Him. His goal isn’t merely to educate readers—it’s to infuse reader’s lives with the presence of the Holy Spirit in profound ways. This study begins Monday, September 16th from 6:30pm-8pm in the Identity Jr. High Classroom at Crossroads. Cost for Book: $9. Zoom option available.

Isaiah served as God’s mouthpiece to the nation of Judah but also to the surrounding nations. His message echoes into our lives today as we read his call to rely on the Lord. Using the genres of poetry, narrative, and prophecy, Isaiah communicated clearly that followers of God could trust in Him. As you study the chapters Isaiah wrote—from his challenging words to the nation of Israel to his prophecies of the Messiah to come—learn to rest in God’s promises and grow in trust. Unpacking Isaiah’s words will reveal that you can trust God more than your own human effort or the counterfeits the world suggests. You won’t be striving harder, but instead trusting more deeply the Faithful One who is so worthy of our utter dependence. In Him you’ll find the comfort and peace you need to sustain you. This is an 8 week study; 7 teaching videos approximately 25-30 min and a wrap up session. This women’s study begins Tuesday, September 24th from 6:30pm-8:30pm in Classroom C04 (Jungle Room) at Crossroads. Cost for Book w/video access: $21.99.

Step 2 of the Journey: The world is filled with information and competing ideas. Many voices, web pages and books claim to have the truth that people should follow, but they cannot all be true. The Bible claims to be true and says that only God’s words will last forever. This 9-week course presents evidence that the Bible is true and is the only book fully worthy of our trust. The teaching style is interactive so participants can ask questions each week. The Fall Semester of Bible Foundations begins, Friday, September 20th at 6:30pm in the Youth Sanctuary. Childcare available on request.

Ben Powis’ Legacy Saturday Morning Men’s Breakfast Study will be held at the Iron Kettle. We will follow through David Jeremiah’s Study on Romans. Indeed, many today consider the letter to the Romans to be Paul’s magnum opus, his greatest work. Divided into two parts, Romans explains the righteousness of God and why it must be proclaimed, followed by instructions on how we are to respond to His righteousness in our daily lives and within the church. This book also describes, in magnificent and inspiring detail, the abundance of grace given to us by God through Jesus Christ. This 8-week offsite book study begins Saturday, September 28th at 7:30am at The Iron Kettle (1009 Olean Road, E. Aurora). Cost for book is $10. Breakfast will be at your own additional cost.
