Small Groups at Crossroads provide a community-like atmosphere where you can learn about God while getting to know others. We grow in the knowledge of Jesus and encourage each other to live it out. Small groups are offered for the Fall and Spring semesters with a church-wide small group at the beginning of the year. Our offerings include such topics as worldview, marriage, family, parenting, finances, prayer, leadership, etc. Life is better in groups!

You know of the Holy Spirit – but do you actually know Him? If you don’t, you are missing out on many of the blessings that God has intended for you. The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity and considered the most ignored and misunderstood Person in the Church. Many Christians are left clueless about who He is and how He expresses Himself to us. John Bevere invites you into a personal discovery in this amazing introduction to the Holy Spirit. Cost for study book is $18. Materials will only be ordered for participants who prepay. This AFTERNOON study begins Monday, April 17th at 1pm in the Crossroads Main Sanctuary.

All day, every day, an invisible war rages around you – unseen, unheard, yet felt throughout every aspect of your life. A devoted, devilish enemy seeks to wreak havoc on everything that matters to you: your heart, your marriage, your children, your relationships, your resilience, your dreams, your destiny. But his battle plans depend on catching you unaware and unarmed. If you’re tired of being pushed around and caught with your guard down, this study is for you. The enemy always fails miserably when a woman is dressed for the occasion. The Armor of God, more than merely a biblical description of the believer’s inventory, is an action plan for putting it on and developing a personalized strategy to secure victory. Cost for study book is $25. Materials will only be ordered for participants who prepay. This women’s study begins Tuesday, April 11th at 6:30pm in the K/1 Classroom at Crossroads.

As Christians, we are called to be advocates for God’s Word, and we are called to speak truth into ethical issues and courageously stand up for what’s morally right according to our beliefs. But in order to engage others in these discussions with grace and kindness, first we need to arm ourselves with knowledge and understanding of each of these topics. We are here to help you in Bridging the Gap. Developed by expert healthcare professionals, this new small group study is designed to ask difficult, thought-provoking questions as we seek the truth found in God’s Word about the ethical issues facing Christians today. Session Topics include Addictions, Beginning of Life, End of Life, Gender Identity, Right of Conscience and Sexuality. Developed to be used by small groups in a question-and-answer format to stimulate discussion, each session includes multiple scriptural, scientific and medical references. Some of these topics are divisive, but we are called as Christians to ask these difficult, questions. In the end, we pray it will stimulate minds and stir hearts toward God as we educate and encourage those who seek the truth. This 6-week course begins offsite Thursday, April 20th at 6:30pm at the home of Doug and Jackie Rowe (1681 Blakeley Corners Road, E. Aurora). Class size limit: 14.
Friday
The world is filled with information and competing ideas. Many voices, web pages and books claim to have the truth that people should follow, but they cannot all be true. The Bible claims to be true and says that only God’s words will last forever. This 9-week course presents evidence that the Bible is true and is the only book fully worthy of our trust. The teaching style is interactive so participants can ask questions each week. Bill Marshall and Shawn Claybolt co-lead this study, beginning Friday, March 24th at 6:30pm in the Youth Sanctuary. Childcare on request.
Am I getting parenting right? Most parents, at all stages, find themselves asking this question. Join us for a 6-week study to surround, support and encourage each other in feeling more confident in raising a healthy and happy family. Crossroads is a generational church, so we encourage parents from all stages of life to gather with us, to lean into God’s Word, pray and fellowship together.
“We will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord, about His power and His mighty wonders.” – Psalm 78:4
This group begins Friday, April 14th at 7pm, offsite, at the home of Gary and Carrie Occhino (6 Lynchburg Court, Orchard Park).

This groups is for individuals who want to be part of a small group for accountability and study together but are having difficulty finding time to meet up or have young kids and can’t seem to get away. We will be doing an inductive study on the Book of James. One chapter each week with discussion questions during the week. We will end each week with a Zoom call meet up. The first session (4/22) will be in person to form relationships with those who signed up and discuss the outline of James. The next sessions will happen on Zoom with our last small group meeting (6/3; 5-7pm) in person with the whole family to have food, fun and fellowship. We will also have a Facebook group to connect with questions an insights through the week. We have a kids study (if applicable to you) that goes through James as well so the whole family can be included in this study.
