At Crossroads, we provide childcare and Sunday School Programs during our 10:30am (Nursery – Grade 8) church service. Children join together in small groups to explore the Bible, fellowship with each other, complete service projects and have fun!
Teachers partner with parents to teach the Bible and equip the next generation to Go Light Our World! If you are new to Crossroads, please stop by the Children’s Welcome Desk, located before the Children’s Wing, to register your children for our program. We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you into our Crossroads Family!
Nursery
In our nursery, infants to children 2 years old are welcomed and cared for with patience, love and special attention by dedicated volunteers of the congregation. Just down the hall, we also provide a room for nursing moms where they can tend to their little ones.
Pre-K 2 & 3
For children 2 and 3 years old, we have a special curriculum geared specifically towards them. Children learn how to love God and others through music, videos, crafts, Bible stories and playtime.
Pre-K 4 & 5
In the Pre-K room, children ages 4 & 5 will come and have fun, play games, sing songs and build relationships with each other. Here they will learn that this is a fun place where they can learn about God and how He created everything!
Kindergarten & 1st Grade
In the Jungle Room, Kindergarteners and 1st graders are wild about Jesus. There are mountains, jungle vines, lions, giraffes and monkeys to keep the children entertained and interested in what Jesus can do in their lives.
2nd & 3rd Grade
In our 2nd and 3rd grade classroom, kids will build a foundation with God and learn how to live out their faith in the world. They will learn about the depth of Jesus’ love for us and how He can be part of their everyday lives.
4th & 5th Grade
In the newly renovated 4th and 5th grade class, students will sit back, relax and discuss how Jesus can become a living and active part of their lives.

GLOW Kids FAQ
GLOW Kids is excited to utilize the Grow curriculum for our children’s program which focuses on fostering a growing relationship for our GLOW Kids with Jesus Christ and His people through weekly Bible studies, games, activities, and outreach opportunities.
If your child is new to GLOW Kids, we ask that all parents complete a Child Registration Form for each child participating in Sunday School. This form is located at the Children’s Welcome Desk right by the Youth hallway in both paper or digital options. There will be volunteers at the Welcome Desk to assist you and/or to answer any questions you may have. This information is useful to our staff as they learn how to best serve your child. As your child’s needs change, we ask that you update this information. After your first visit to Crossroads, your child’s name will be in our system for check-in. All children must be signed in using the iPad Check-In system before attending class. They will get a printed name tag to wear while in our program.
We begin receiving children ten minutes before the start of our second service. Doors to the Children’s Wing open at 10:20am. All children will be checked in at the Welcome Desk. Once checked in, K-5 kids will walk themselves to their appropriate classroom. Nursery- PreK Kids will be dropped off by a parent. We request that you pick up your children promptly after the service from their classes.
When you check-in with our Welcome Team to get your child’s nametag, you will be presented with a parent tag that has a unique number identifier for each family. This identifier changes every week and cannot be duplicated. The parent tag is required when you pick up your child. The teacher will match the parent tag number with the child’s tag number to ensure that you are the responsible party to pick up the child.
Please note that we strive to create a safe, caring and Christ-centered environment for your children while you attend main service. All adult volunteers and teachers have been background checked and attended training programs before serving in our Children’s Ministry.
Once service starts, we ask that only scheduled volunteers be back in the Children’s Wing and in classes. If you have a younger child (nursery-PreK) who is struggling with drop off and needs more time adjusting, we do allow parents to stay in the classroom for 10-15 minutes, however after this we ask that you go into main service and let the childcare workers help calm your child down.
We will only allow a child to cry for 10-15 minutes before we page you. If you would like to stay in the classroom longer than 15 minutes, we ask that you sign up to be a parent volunteer in their class while they adjust. You will have to discuss this with the Children’s Ministry Coordinator and be approved to stay in the class for longer than 15 minutes. Please know we do this to make sure that we are providing the safest environment for all of our Crossroads kids.
