Sprouts Preschool is a balance of independent and teacher-directed instruction. Instructional activities are provided in large and small groups as well as one-on-one learning sessions. Instruction and curricula is age-appropriate and based on New York State Standards for Preschool Education with many hands on experiences. Ongoing assessments take place to determine each child’s progress. Parent-teacher conferences follow up the testing and are held once a year. Our program informs parents through monthly newsletters about activities, subjects being taught as well as providing ideas for reinforcing those areas at home.

4-Year-Old Program (3 Day)

Kindergarten Foundations Program (5 Day)
Kindergarten Foundations is a great option for families who are looking to help their 4 or 5 year old child prepare for kindergarten. This program provides students with not only an opportunity to engage more deeply into the preschool curriculum because of the extra two days each week in class, but also provides students with consistent daily routines that will help them have a smooth transition into the full-day, structured nature of elementary school. Being in school for a full week, students will have the opportunity to be exposed to a variety of kindergarten skills and topics in all subjects. This program is a great option if you are looking to send your child for an extra year of preschool to continue to grow before beginning kindergarten.

General Information
- Children should be 3 or 4 years old by December 1 of new school year for the T/Th and M/W/F Programs.
- Children must 4 years old by first day of school for Kindergarten Foundations Program.
- Children must be able to use the bathroom independently by the first day.
- Classes meet on Tue/Thu for 3 year old’s (9:30am-12:15pm)
- Classes meet on Mon/Wed/Fri for 4 year old’s (9:30am-12:15pm)
- Kindergarten Foundations meets Mon-Fri classes for 4 year old’s (9:15am-12pm)
- Tuition is due on the first class of each month.
- Lead teacher and aide(s) will be in classroom.
- Church Office Hours are Mon-Fri, 8:30am – 3:30pm.
- Sprouts Preschool follows the Iroquois Central school District calendar.
- Closings on Ch 2, 4 and 7; follow Iroquois Central District closings.

In our Kindergarten Foundations, 4-year-old and 3-year-old classrooms, we have a lead teacher and assistants who work with your children.
