Sprouts Preschool

Come and Grow with Us

Come and Grow with Us!

Crossroads Christian Church’s Preschool provides a nurturing Christ-centered environment that enables 3 and 4 year old children to grow spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically through an affirming and stimulating school experience.  We strive to motivate, teach, guide and support each child in their appropriate stage of educational development.

Sprouts begins September 13, 2021.

Sprouts Preschool is a balance of independent and teacher-directed instruction. Instructional activities are provided in large and small groups as well as one-on-one learning sessions. Instruction and curricula is age-appropriate and based on New York State Standards for Preschool Education with many hands on experiences. Ongoing assessments take place to determine each child’s  progress. Parent-teacher conferences follow up the testing and are held once a year. Our program informs parents through monthly newsletters about activities, subjects being taught as well as providing ideas for reinforcing those areas at home.

We believe that the early training of a child is the most significant training they receive.  An early childhood educational experience that is supported by Christian values and truths adds to the mental, emotional, social, physical and spiritual needs of a child.

We believe a vital aspect of a child’s growth and development is the teamwork between parents and teachers.  Our goals are:

  • To increase the parents knowledge and understanding of the skills and experiences that are age appropriate for their child’s growth and development.
  • To involve the parents in the educational  activities in order to enhance their role as the primary influence in their child’s educational development.
  • To identify and reinforce activities in the home that may relate to educational experiences.

We will strive to model Christian behavior in our actions and attitudes.  We will guide the children toward positive behavior with praise.  Our goal is that each child will learn self-discipline and develop respect for one another.
