This is a photo of Dorald speaking to the 38 children who are preparing for the Christmas Pageant this weekend. She was giving them instructions, and they lost their focus on her and began to laugh. Wondering why, she looked down to her right, and there was Indy, watching everything! She had no idea he was standing there. He was quietly watching everything that was going on.
I wonder what he was thinking while he stood quietly by Grandma’s side? Maybe, “I wonder if I can go up there and join them?” As soon as Grandma took his hand and led him up the stairs; he walked over and sat down with the other children…just like he belonged there.
This is a season of “watching and wondering!” The shepherds “watched their flocks” and Mary wondered how she could become pregnant and then where she would give birth to her baby.
My thought is simple. Take time to watch and wonder during this season of the year. Enjoy the wonder of God’s gift and sit down in the company of others in the places where you most belong-with your family, church, and friends. Do not forget to make room for others, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without even knowing it. (Hebrews 13:2)
Just like Indy, there are angels everywhere during this special time of year.
See you this Sunday at the Christmas Pageant. Remember to buy a gift card to make Christmas special for some needy family. They are available in the church foyer.
Love and blessings,
Pastor Pat
